WRITE
AN AD
IMPROVING
YOUR RESPONSE FROM BUYERS
Real Estate Ads
are most effective when listed in the Sunday or Saturday classified
section of the newspaper. Make sure that your ad always includes the
following information:
- Your phone
number,
- "By
Owner" so the buyer knows they are not calling a Realtor,
- Price,
- Number of
bedrooms and bathrooms (abbreviation: 3 br, 2 ba),
- Style: Two
story, 4 level split, 1.5 story, etc.,
- the property
address, and
- City or
neighborhood (if not listed in the paper by location)
These are
excellent headings to get the most attention from buyers:
- "First
ad" tells the buyer that the home is new to the market,
- First open
house: Sunday 11-5,
- New to
market,
- __ blocks to
Lake/Park,
- Hardwood
floors (abbreviation: hdwd flrs),
- Attached
garage (abbreviation: att gar),
- Fully
updated (abbreviation: updtd),
- Fireplace
(abbreviation: frplc)
- Wooded lot,
- On
Cul-de-sac or dead end street,
- Move-in
condition (abbreviation: move-in cond),
- First floor
family room (abbreviation: 1st flr fam rm),
- __ acre lot,
- Deck
- Porch,
- Central air
condition (abbreviation: C/A), and
- Walkout
lower level (abbreviation: walkout).
